Shut the door on urban Poole for three hours and breathe in fresh country air.  What is your image of the countryside?  Green fields, gambolling lambs and combine harvesters or battery farming, silent skies and Chelsea tractors?  Explore your image through your writing and return to urban life having given your imagination a rural workout.

No experience necessary.

Garden of Seasons

What better place to explore the subject of seasons than in one of Poole’s hidden gems: Chestnut Nursery by Poole Park.   Seasonal ‘spectacles’ will aid our imaginations, while we explore the garden in each of the seasons. The session will consist of fun and practical exercises.  No experience necessary. Limited to 8 places.

Creative Writing*Write & Ride Around Poole

Weather permitting; this workshop will involve writing in different venues in Poole with the help of the Route 1 bus.  Gather up your inspiration from Poole’s historic buildings or harbour views, and then consign them to paper.  No experience necessary.

We’re back at Chestnut Nursery for this session on colours.  We will look at the colours in the nursery and explore other ways colours come into our everyday lives such as popular sayings, symbolism and what we wear and eat. Limited to 8 places. No experience necessary.

Short Story Improvers Group

This is a small group for people who are writing short stories but feel they would like some constructive help on how they could be improved.  This is particularly useful for those wanting feedback before they send them off to competitions etc.
