Fiction Writing
Character-Forecast

Now here is the Character-Forecast.  The character will be changeable; low pressure brings a heavy downpour of anger, but this will quickly be followed by high pressure bringing hugs and happiness! Aimed at fiction writers, this workshop explores the subject of weather and how it can affect your characters.  Could the nature of weather translate to a personality? The session will consist of fun and practical exercises.  Some knowledge of the importance of characterisation is useful.

Fiction Writing
Simply
Description

If one nail holds a picture up, why tap in three? The same goes for the picture you create in your fiction writing.  Give your reader a taste of the scene and let their imagination do the rest. This workshop provides an opportunity to practise writing description and looks at ways in which it can be improved.  Fun exercises will be used throughout.
